Very sorry to hear about your loss. I met Mr. Smith during the 1996 Ohio Junior World Qualifier and remember him as very friendly and enthusiastic. He was a great ambassador for us junior golfers and will be greatly missed. Thoughts and Prayers to all of you.

I'm so saddened to hear of Grandpa Smith's passing. Growing up with Shannon, he was like a grandpa to me as well. I have many good memories with him.  Sending many thoughts and prayers to the entire Smith family, especially Grandma Ruth.

From sliding in our socks on the newly-waxed kitchen floor  and shooting a sock ball into a bowl on the kitchen table to attending real sporting events with our parents and all our trips to Las Vegas, you were the best brother ever.

The Dayton Community lost one of thier great ones with Smitty's passing...What a kind and gentle person...He stewarded the Ohio Junior World Qualifier for 39 years and I hoped for a 40th this summer....He will be missed...

I am so very sorry for your loss!  I knew Smitty through NASCUS - always enjoyed visiting with him.  What a tremendous person.

My days with NCR Credit Union started in 1969. Smitty was head of Marketing at that time. Smitty, along with Rex and Glen Kershner gave me the opportunity to work for them which ultimately enhanced my career at the credit union. I will be forever grateful to this kind and generous man. I will always remember our meetings in San Diego, one of his favorite places. Miss you my friend.

Smitty was my friend and my boss for many yrs. Loved his humor and his strength in the business world. My sympathy to my good buddy Craig and all the family.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Smith. My memories of him go back to the BCAA days in Beavercreek of 40 plus years ago, with his sons Ken and Craig. He was always a kind and caring man and helped many young men with their baseball skills. My heartfelt sympathies go to his family and friends.

So sorry for your loss. Smitty was such a neat man.  He was a pleasure to work for.  He always made you like family.

NCR Credit Union was my very first job. I worked for Craig in the mail room but Smitty always loved my spaghetti!  He was always so positive and made everyone feel special. Rest in Peace. You will be missed.

I am sorry for your loss.  I have many wonderful memories of my shared moments with Smitty. He invited me to become a board member at Universal 1 CU and I have thoroughly enjoyed it ever since.  His love of golf also had him reaching out to my son Chris. He always pointed out to me how closely he was always following his career and successes. Chris was also saddened by the new of Smitty's passing.
