

COWICHE - Adelina Espindola-Parra, age 61, of Cowiche, Washington, passed away on Tuesday (June 26, 2012) surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with a brain tumor. She was the beloved wife of Felix Espindola, mother of Felix Jr. and Jose Blas Espindola and helped raise Juan and Adrian Torres and Victor Montalvo.
Adelina was born in La Guadalupe de Cobre, Michoacn, Mexico on February 12, 1951 to Librado Parra Lopez and Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez. She was the oldest of 8 siblings. Adelina married at the age of 18 and moved with her husband to the Yakima Valley and settled in Cowiche. She worked at Strand Fruit Warehouse for over 15 years until she could no longer work due to her illness in March 2012.
Adelina was an incredible woman who loved spending time with her family. Adelina, the ranch and her great cooking were the center of family gatherings. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with close friends. She was always there to listen and guide us with an open heart. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend who devoted her life to those she loved. We will treasure her memory for the rest of our days.
Adelina is survived by her husband, Felix Espindola of Cowiche; her children, Felix Jr. and Jose Blas Espindola of Cowiche; her brothers Israel Parra and Javier Parra, both of Cowiche, Gilberto Parra of Yakima; her sisters; Karina Montalvo of Yakima, Irene Sanchez and Luz Torres of Mexico, many beloved nieces and nephews and countless friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roberto Parra.
Viewing will be Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 4 PM to 8 PM and recitation of the rosary will be held at 7 PM at Keith and Keith Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 9 AM at San Juan Diego Catholic Church in Cowiche with interment to follow in West Hills Memorial Park.
