He was born in Outlook, WA on November 24, 1928, to Albert and Helen Wellner. Albert and Frank were farmers in the White Swan area. Al married Katherine Schuch right out of school and 3 boys and a girl were born. They divorced after 21 years of marriage.
In 1991 he met and married Janette Pack and made 24 years of marriage before his passing. He worked for Dwinells for 32 years before he retired in 1996.
He is survived by his wife Janette Wellner and her two children Charlene (Don) Larson and Steven (Jennifer) McGaffey, his children Mike Wellner, Ken Wellner of Yakima, a daughter, Kathy (Gary) Cooker of Sumner, and son Charles of Grandview, a brother, Frank Wellner and a sister, Betty Walsh, and lots of nieces and nephews, as well as step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
He will be missed very much and I will treasure every year that God granted Al and I together, it was a wonderful 24 years.
A memorial service will be Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home, 1010 W. Yakima Ave., Yakima. A get-together will be held at Terrace Heights Baptist Church at the corner of Gun Club Rd. and 41st Ave. in Terrace Heights after the services.
