Aleene was born in Portland, Oregon on April 4, 1925, the beloved daughter of Nettie (Witmyer) Horrigan and James Horrigan. She celebrated her 90th birthday at Caring Hands Adult Home with friends. Aleene loved celebrations and decorated her home for each and every holiday! Her passion for doll collecting brought her much pleasure. She was devoted to her dolls, loved her flowers and vegetable gardens. Aleene had many friends from the Doll Club and Garden Club.
Aleene “loved to move” and lived in many homes and apartments in Yakima. She enjoyed going for rides, yard sales and lunch with friends. She read her Bible daily and loved God and her church. Aleene worked for National Bank of Commerce for over 30 years until a stroke forced her retirement.
She is survived by several cousins and many friends in Yakima and her loving cat “Monkey”.
Our thanks to Charlene Leivan (her loving and devoted caregiver and owner of Caring Hands Adult Home the last two years) and Alena Kissel (her previous loving caregiver and friend for many years.)
