

Alice was born in Orofino, Idaho and later moved to Yakima, Washington where she spent most of her life. On September 10th, 1966, she married the love of her life, Charles Stanford. Together they built a loving family and raised three daughters whom they loved very much.
Alice worked for the Oxford Suites as a Supervisor for many years before retiring. In her free time she loved to go camping and fishing, crochet, go to the casino, and spend time with the people she loved the most.
Alice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a special love for animals, especially her beloved dogs, Baby, Mia, and Marley, who were her constant companions and best friends. Alice had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making others laugh. She could always brighten a room and put a smile on someone’s face. She touched many lives and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her and will be deeply missed.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Charles Stanford, her parents Alice and Harold Fidler, Grandma & Grandpa Story, her in-laws Wilbert Stanford and Eloise Staggs, and her son-in-law Douglas Winters.
She is survived by her three daughters Ronda Vickers, Debbie Winters, Jolene Roberts, and her son-in-law Michael Roberts, all of Yakima. Her four grandchildren Shari Vaillancourt (Eric Vaillancourt), Charles Winters, Alicia Davenport (Brock Davenport), and Kelsey Johnson. Her great-grandchildren Zaedyn Johnson, Leland Davenport, and Emersyn Vaillancourt.
She is also survived by her sister Julia McBee.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026 from 4pm-6pm at Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at the Central Washington Seventh Day Baptist Church located at 10200 Summitview Ave on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026 at 2pm.
