

Audrey was born in Yakima, Washington on August 18, 1937 to Paul David Johnson and M. Elva (Chrisman) Johnson. She graduated from Yakima High School in 1955 and later graduated from
Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri in 1964. Audrey was a first grade school teacher in the Wapato School District for twenty-seven years retiring in 1992.
She married Dale Syfert a widower with four children, two still in the home, 1969 at Stone Church in Yakima. They lived on their orchard until four years ago when they moved to their present location.
Audrey was known for her raspberries, jam and apple cider. She also enjoyed hosting tea parties. She attended the Stone Church Assembly of God and later Christian Life Center where she was involved in the Prime Timers Senior Group.
She enjoyed trips to Israel and Australia and a favorite get-away was Seaside, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Syfert on March 15, 2011. She is survived by her brother, Ron (Linda) Johnson of Arlington, WA and her sister, Carol (Gene) Ropp of Walla Walla, WA; four nephews, three nieces and three step children.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel on Friday, September 16, 2011. Funeral services will be held at the Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Concluding services and burial will follow at West Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission.
