
Olympia,, Washington - Barbara Breslin was born on August 18th, 1926 to Reginald and Josephine Hahn in Crystal, North Dakota. She grew up in North Dakota, earned a 2-year teaching certificate, and at the age of 20, ventured west to teach first grade in Chelan, Washington.
Barbara attended the University of Washington, where she met Archie Breslin. They were married on June 11, 1949, and made their home in Renton, Washington. Later, they moved to Olympia, where they raised their 3 daughters.
In 1967, Barbara returned tain View and Lydia Hawk Elementary schools. After retiring, she led a long active life, involved in church activities, hiking with the Tuesday Trotters, bird watching, golfing, and traveling. Family was central to her life, and she cherished time spent with her loved ones.
Barbara is remembered for her zest for life, her hospitality, and her interest in others. She inspired family and friends with her strength, courage, and love of nature.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Sally Halfmoon and Kacie Askew (Rick), and her son-in-law, Tom McPike, 6 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband, Archie, her son-in-law, Tom Halfmoon, and her beloved daughter, Susie McPike.
