As the youngest child of 5, Becky was catered to and spoiled by all her siblings. One dressed her and one chased her down to brush her hair. She was always keeping her siblings on their toes and was the light of her father's eye.
At 18 years old she decided on the challenging quest to move her small family to the pacific northwest in 1982. Thus rooting her life in Yakima, WA.
Becky met her life long partner in 1997, where they both built their dream home and welcomed 11 grandchildren in their lives and two great-grandchildren.
Becky's first job in Yakima was assisting doctors in medical procedures involving childbirth and small operations. Her love for the medical field which sparked her career into outreach and social work for the community of Yakima. For 20 years she helped the community of Yakima in speaking on communicable diseases and preventative healthcare. Finishing her working career in the Yakima Housing Authority as a case manager, she helped young families start their dreams of one day owning their own home.
If you couldn't find her chances were she was either shopping, playing bingo or eating at the legends casino.
Becky leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love. Out of her only two children they both gave her sets of twins that she was very proud of. Becky also has 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her life partner Roy Garcia, son, Jon Mares, and her daughter, Melissa Morones. She was the proud grandma of a lively bunch. Her granddaughters Sofia Morones, Sixta Morones, Jelilah Morones, Jezirae Mares, Glorienn Mares, Isreah Mares, and Jemmarie Mares, as well as her grandsons Ukijah Mares and Judah Mares, will continue to carry her legacy. And followed by her great-grandchildren Jael Galvez and Luca Galvez, who were blessed to have known their great-grandmother's love.
