Benjamin Garcia

Benjamin Garcia, aged 88, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, surrounded by the unwavering love, care and devotion of his wife of 49 years. Born on March 10, 1938 in Jalisco, Mexico, he lived a life defined by hard work, integrity, and devotion to his family.

A beloved husband to Maria, cherished father to Fernando and Gracie, and proud grandfather to Vanessa, Lindsey, Aubrey and Natalie, Benjamin was the steady heart of our family. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Ben found joy spending time working on his restored 1955 Chevy Belair, which he often showcased at local car shows, delighting in sharing its history with anyone who stopped to admire it.

He is survived by the love of his life Maria Garcia, son Fernando Garcia, daughter Gracie Burkhart, son-in-law Shawn Burkhart, daughter-in-law Erika Velazquez and granddaughters Vanessa Ponce, Lindsey France, Aubrey France and Natalie Burkhart. His legacy of love, generosity, hard work, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be missed beyond measure and remembered with endless love forever.

Visitation will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 West Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902, US, on August 21, 2026, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
