

Betty A. Harvey, 86, passed away on October 8, 2016 in Selah, WA. She was born on January 13, 1930 in S. Dakota to Rhinie and Dorothy (Heintz) Berg. As a young child the family relocated to the Yakima Valley. She went on to graduate from Moxee High School with the class of 1948.
She married the love of her life, Martin “Skip” Harvey, whom she met while they were going through school in Moxee. Betty, along with raising a family, helped support the family by working as a supervisor for Snokist. She retired after 23 years but continued her work as our Mother.
Betty loved country music, gardening and being outdoors. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking and soft, quiet but strong spirit.
She is survived by her sons Les (Karen), Marty and Tim Harvey; grandchildren Ryan Harvey and Tara Wallace; great-granddaughter Rachael Estes and brother Orin Berg. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Martin, daughter Kathy, parents Rhinie and Dorothy and brothers Ray and Vic Berg.
A visitation will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm, Monday, October 17 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, October 18 at Rainier Memorial Center with concluding services and burial at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
