Betty Rosanne Hillstrom

Betty was born at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Yakima, WA on March 9, 1935. She lived with her family in Yakima for her first 5 years then they moved to Selah. She graduated from Selah High School, and married Elmer Hillstrom at Selah Covenant Church on January 31, 1954. They raised their 4 children in Selah where Betty worked at Matson’s Fruit then became a rural route carrier for the USPS. She also worked as a Home Interiors representative and manager in her spare time for many years.

When she retired she spent a lot of time traveling. She joined the Volkswalking Club and managed to engage in a walk on 6 different continents as well as many locations throughout the US. She was a regular member of the Bells Choir at First Presbyterian for many years.

Betty is preceded in death by her brothers, Bruce and Doug Buchanan and by her son, Douglas Hillstrom. She is survived by her husband Doug Keller and 3 of her children: Pamela Hillstrom & Rick Ralston, Dennis & Janice Hillstrom, and Dianne & Robert Hedden. She is also survived by her brothers Lynn Buchanan and Roger Buchanan, and her sisters Kaye Patton and Marilyn Buchanan, as well as 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service for Betty will be held at Keith and Keith Funeral Home on Friday, 10/24, at 11:00. A reception will follow.
