Bonita was born in Wheeler, Oregon to Jesse T. and Goldie M. Wade. She was the youngest of nine children. After losing her parents at a young age, she moved to Yakima to live with family. She attended Yakima Schools and graduated from Davis High School in 1975.
While working at Western Foam Pak, Bonita met the love of her life and best friend, Walter M Lindsey. They married in 1978 and had two children. A son, David, and a daughter, Heather. Bonita and Walter were the epitome of true and selfless love. In 2009, Bonita and Walter were blessed with their first grandchild, a granddaughter Alivia. Soon after, granddaughters Adelynn and Aubree joined the family and brought even more joy. Bonita was an amazing hands-on Grandma to her girls and loved her Gramma ‘B’ title. She was incredibly crafty and a talented baker. She enjoyed crafting and baking with the girls, watching their sporting events, school programs, and going on family vacations. Gramma ‘B’ made the best homemade birthday cakes that could win any Cake Baking challenge!
Bonita made many friends, a few becoming like sisters, while working at Bi-Mart, where she retired after over 30 years of employment. To know Bonita, was to be graced with her beautiful smile, and kind generous heart. She always made sure you knew how much she loved and cared for you.
She is survived by her son David Lindsey, daughter Heather Brandt (Kevin), granddaughters Alivia, Adelynn and Aubree, sisters Nellie Fletcher, Ellen Davis, Margaret Wade, Nancy Jarvis, Joyce Croswhite and Betty Ahurn. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Lindsey, parents Jesse and Goldie Wade, sister Effie and brother Tom.
