

Brad F. Desgroseillier, 54, of Selah, WA passed away March 10, 2014 surrounded by his loving family in his home. He was born November 30, 1959 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Yakima. He was the fifth of six children born to Ralph and Mary (Bobst) Desgroseillier. He grew up in Yakima, graduated at East Valley High School. He then attended Perry Trade when he was offered an apprenticeship with Local 598 Plumbers & Steamfitters Union following in his father's footsteps. His apprenticeship took him to Hanford where he worked for 33 years. He wore many hats from Journeyman to General Foreman. Listening to stories from his co-workers/friends, Brad was a well-respected boss and co-worker who was bright, organized and hardworking with a great sense of humor.
Brad was an avid sports fan, who loved the Huskies, Seahawks and Mariners attending as many games as he could. The best medicine during his illness was to watch the Seahawks win the Super bowl with his family. Along with sports Brad loved to fish with his family and friends creating lasting memories for all. He especially loved his fishing trips to Alaska with his brothers where he joined the Gold Hook Club at his favorite lodge in Craig, Alaska, meaning he caught a 50 plus pound salmon. When Brad was not spending time with his sports and fishing, he was enjoying time with his family, especially his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Brad took great pride in being a member of the 8 D club, which his parents founded in 2002. Members included his 5 siblings and his parents.
He is survived by his siblings. Jean (Theron) Hunter of Shoreline WA, Marc (Cindy) Desgroseillier of Yakima, Joan (Scott) Eschbach of Yakima, and Susan (Steve) Deatherage of Beaverton, OR; 12 nieces and nephews, 9 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Rex Desgroseillier 2014, and his parents Ralph and Mary Desgroseillier.
Visitation will be held at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home Sunday March 16, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. A Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home on Sunday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Moxee on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
