Brad was born on November 7th, 1964 to Nolan and Bernadine Bena. He had 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
He attended school in Yakima and Selah. His first job was waiting tables at Black Angus where he learned and developed his people skills. With his brilliant smile and his sunny outlook on life, Brad always knew how to relate to people. He literally knew no stranger. Some of his friends would say Brad could sell snow to an Eskimo with no problem.
While his mother managed an apartment complex, he developed his handyman skills which he used to help family and friends at the drop of a hat.
In March 1988 he married Lisa Hogue. He worked for Treetop during the time he started his family. He had two daughters, Alicia and Miranda, son Justin and step son Josh.
Always ambitious and restless he could never settle for just one job. He also worked part-time for his father-in-law in construction eventually becoming a full-time Carpenter. His creative spirit kept nagging him to start his own enterprise. He purchased his big yellow dump truck and his new company, “IHaul”, was born. Being owner and operator of his own endeavor was his pride and joy. He artistically created beautiful landscapes as well as many of his other specialties. There really wasn't anything he couldn't master.
Brad's World changed when his five-year-old son Justin was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma. Brad became his full-time caregiver through his three-year battle. He and Lisa decided to part ways but always remained great friends. In 2015 he furthered his education by attending courses at Spokane Valley Community College and earned several degrees. That led him to be more successful with “IHaul”. Business was going really good when he himself was diagnosed with cancer. No matter what, he continued doing what he loved until his final days.
Brad was preceded in death by his grandfather Gerald Bena, brother William Bena, mother Bernadine Ricard and his son, Justin Bena.
He is survived by his father Nolan, "mom" Lorraine and siblings Bob Bena, Caroline (Roger) Lambert, Tammy (John) Creighton; also his children Alicia (Justin) Reynolds, Miranda Bena, Josh Bena; and grandchildren Justin, McKenzie and Christopher, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his beloved step children.
The family would like to thank his dear friends Jeff, Quinn and Paul for all their help and care.
We will have a Private graveside inurnment for immediate family. A celebration of Bradley’s life will be held July 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Rainier Memorial Center, 2807 Terrace Heights Drive.
