Brenda Bravo

Brenda Bravo (Zagal) left us to rejoice in God's glory surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 11th, 2015. Brenda was welcomed into this world on November 16th, 1995 in Yakima to Elizabeth Hernandez. Brenda married the love of her life, Jose Bravo on February 7th, 2012 and gave birth to her son, Ricardo Bravo on May 15th, 2015. Brenda graduated from A.C. Davis High School in 2014 and had just completed her freshman year at WSU Tri-Cities, hoping to obtain a degree in Psychology.

Brenda was intelligent, hard-working and extremely resilient. She had great dreams and hopes and nothing was going to get in her way. Brenda was very crafty and witty, never failing to make those around her laugh. Brenda was such a loving person, and helped anyone she could, always giving the best advice: to never give up and to always trust in God. Even towards the end of her life, although she was in great pain, she maintained her faith, sense of humor and even her appetite.

Brenda is survived by her loving and supportive husband, Jose, their newborn son Ricardo, her mother Elizabeth and siblings, Araceli, Leslie and Jairo Zagal and her grandfather, Mardonio Hernandez. She is survived by her aunts and uncles, Bertin and Enriqueta Hernandez, Fidelina and Mario Martinez, Reyna and Andres Martinez, Lourdes "Lulu" Martinez, Norma Hernandez, Maribel and Marco Luna, Cecilia Zagal and Victoria and Raudel Gonzalez. She also leaves behind countless primos and primas who she grew up with and her in-laws, Alicia and Reyes Bravo. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Concepcion "Mama Conce" Hernandez.

Jose and Brenda’s family would like to thank the medical staff at UW Medical Center ICU who helped make this difficult time just a little more bearable. Brenda, you will always be in our hearts.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the family home, 314 N. 6th St., Yakima from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The Funeral service will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.

Concluding services and burial will be at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
