Peacefully with God’s watchful eye Catherine Salset passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Landmark Care Center at, 92. She was born June 22, 1919 in Tacoma to Josephine Schafer and Byron Keely, the oldest girl of 8 children. After graduating from Stadium High School, she worked at the Railroad. On September 28, 1957 she married Neil Salset and moved to Yakima.
A devout Catholic, she was a member of Holy Family parish in Yakima and enjoyed giving back to the community through service in YLI and Woman’s Century Club.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and a great grandchild. She is survived by husband Neil; daughter, Roseann Salset her children; David, Daniel, Neil & Dorothy; son, Loren Salset and his wife Nancy and their children; Whitney, Grant, Katrina and Megan.
Her generous giving heart, infectious smile and laugh will be greatly missed.
A Rosary Service will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Holy Family Chapel. A Memorial Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 21st at Holy Family Church.
