Cecelia Ortiz, age 60, of Yakima, Washington, was called home to heaven on October 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Cecelia was born on July 28, 1966, to Richard and Mae Ortiz in Toppenish, Washington. Throughout her life, her heart was always centered on helping others. Although her career may not have been defined by a single profession, her true calling was caring for those around her. She had a generous heart and a natural gift for making others feel loved and welcomed.
For Cecelia, cooking was more than just preparing a meal; it was a way to show love. She was happiest when her kitchen was filled with food and the people she cherished. She loved life’s simple pleasures, and treasured every moment spent with the people who meant the most to her. Cecelia knew how to make ordinary moments special, whether she was dancing, enjoying a friendly game of pool, or gathered around a table playing cards
It was these meaningful moments that reflected her fun-loving spirit, kind heart, and deep love for family and friends. Her warmth and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and memories she leaves behind will remain with us always.
Cecelia is survived by her three beloved daughters, Nicole Gonzales, Amanda (Manuel) Medina and Chelsey (David) Keith, her cherished grandchildren, Isaias, Ilyaas, Khaiya, Manuel Jr., Hazel, Sophia, and Isabella; her siblings, Felicia (Joey) Miller, Richard (Brook) Ortiz, Joseph Ortiz, and Nico Ortiz and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Ortiz.
