Charles Ellis Catron was the second of three generations to carry the Ellis name. Charles known to all as Chuck was born and lived most his life in Yakima, WA, where he spent the last thirteen years on his West Valley countryside property. Best known for his generous nature and dry sense of humor, his heart and smile will be forever missed and unrivaled. Chuck was happiest outdoors with his four legged companion by his side. He had a passion for the study of science and horticulture but his true love was gemology. He spent hours on rock hunts and hikes the brought three generations of Catron man together in a common goal to find the next gem. As a jack of all trades he wore many hats and never met a machine he couldn't master. With these skills he made a living most his life and taught for a short time at Perry Tech. He shared his hobbies with his children and grandchildren including NASCAR. With a life long fallowing of NASCAR and countless weekends at the local track and drag strip his love for the automobile was contagious when around him. As a young Marine he absorbed a love of his country and a value system he lived by all his life. Chuck was survived by his son Shawn Ellis Catron and wife Mandy his four Grandsons Ryan, Colby, Jeramey, and Marshal, his daughter Crystaline Rossetta Catron, and his sisters Connie Catron, Bobbie catron, Ritta Taylor, and Lorie Young.
