Charlotte (Lottie) Cichon Markusiewicz

Charlotte (Lottie) Cichon Markusiewicz, age 97, of Yakima, WA died April 14, 2018 at the Cottage in the Meadow, of Yakima. She was born September 26, 1920, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Leonard Cichon and Magadalena Piasecka Cichon.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Walter P. Markusiewicz, her parents, three sisters, Marilyn E. Dryzmala of Burbank, California, Stella Topoll of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Lillian M. Samul of Royal Oak, Michigan. Charlotte is survived by her three daughters and their spouses Christina L. and Galen Hoover Jr., of Yakima, WA, Diana M. and Michael Ronayne and Donna L. and Steve Robertson of Michigan, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Those of you that knew Charlotte, knew her to be kind and gentle with a caring and spiritual heart. We have shared a gift from Heaven with this gentle, strong woman….she was the most loving mother, grandmother, a brilliant writer, a poet, a seamtress, a bookkeeper, beautiful photo subject, a precious wife, wonderful neighbor…a truly beautiful heart. Charlotte Markusiewicz, was a noble Polish woman thru and thru……

Mom has flown to the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ, and her dearest Walter. She will be forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Holy Family Church prior to the service beginning at 8:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Chapel on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
