I will miss you every day Mom....I will miss seeing you in your yard changing sprinklers, working in your yard and having coffee everyday with you. Love You Forever!!!!

In memory of my sister Clara

Dad had a 1934 Chevrolet pickup.
One day he asked that Clara and me come pick him up at work so he could come home for lunch.  We were both just old enough to start driving.  Dad had a very strict rule that before either of us could get our drivers license we had to know how to start the truck.  In those days it was a hand crank and it took a special knack to get it started.  There was a special way to do it and it took Clara and I a while to learn, we thought it might never happen but eventually we figured it out and got to drive the truck.
On this day I got it started and Clara wanted to drive.  We backed the truck out and were on our way.  Clara was going a little too fast so I had to keep reminding her to slow down or she was going to get stopped by a cop.
We were going East on Ahtanum and I kept telling Clara that she better slow down because there was a turn coming up.  She didn't listen to me and when she went around the corner we went off the road and right up a telephone pole guy wire.  Clara took the brake off and we rolled back down off the wire and went on our way to pick up Dad.
Clara kept saying “Dad will never let me drive again”.  Meanwhile one of the gabby women of Ahtanum saw Mom in the grocery store and said “Hey Sadie I just saw Clara and Don up the guy wire on Pioneer Lane”.  So I went in the house and told Mom what happened and tried to make sure she never told Dad.  We don't know if she ever told Dad or not but we still got to drive the truck. 
I have a lot of memories of Clara and she will be missed greatly.

She was sweet, kind and so nice.  I enjoyed visiting with her and sharing stories about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed.

Carol, Mickey and Kim:
Aunt Clara's laughter and upbeat personality will live in my memories forever.  She was my favorite aunt.  She was such a sweet person and will be missed by all the many who loved her.
