

Clara M. Strader passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on January 18, 2012 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Born on November 14, 1927 to Vincent and Sadie Collings in Arkansas.
Clara was married to William Merle Strader for 59 years raising two daughters and one son. She worked in many local warehouses including Stadelmans. She also was employed by Strader Heavy Hauling. Besides being a loving mother and grandmother she loved working in her garden, volunteering at Yakima Memorial at the front desk and also lending her time at the North Star gift shop. Clara also spent many beach trips and Portland shopping trips with her daughters and Tiffany.
She is survived by her children; Carol (Ken) Herauf of Yakima; Kimberly (Richard) Huard of Yakima and Mick (Idella) Strader of Yakima. And of course her little dog P.J. Also survived by brother Donald (Pauline) Collings of Yakima. Grandchildren; Michelle (Craig) Caudill, Mikelle Connelly, Tara (Matt) Feider, Casey (Teresa) Huard, Tiffany Huard, Heather (Raul) Ramirez, Donovan (Lucia) Strader.
Great grandchildren; Nicole Caudill, Aaron Caudill, Valerie Connelly, Cara Connelly, Isaac Strader, Lillianna (Lily) Huard, Alexander Huard, Nicholas Huard, Owen Thomas Feider, Kayla Joyce, Dylan Joyce, and Sofia Ramirez.
She is preceded in death by parents; Vincent and Sadie Collings; brothers; Irvin Collings, Arthur Collings, John Collings, Melvin Collings, Alfred Collings and Julian Collings. Sisters; Frances Wheaton, Hattie Corp and Marie Larrison.
The family would like to thank the special nurses at Memorial Hospital, Kristi and Karen and also her dear friend Susan from Waffles Café.
Visitation will be held at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home on Tuesday January 24th from 2:00 pm-5:00 pm and another visitation on Wednesday from 4:00 pm-8:00pm. Funeral Services will be on Thursday January 26th at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Chapel at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow. Burial services will be held on Friday at 9:00 am at West Hills Memorial Park.
