

He was in the Eisenhower Marching Band and the band played in the inaugural parade of President John F. Kennedy. He joined the U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam. When he returned home, he worked with his dad at Timpke Machine and Welding.
Clayton married Marian Goldade on January 7, 1965 in San Diego, California. He was a bowler, sports fan, enjoyed time with family and friends.
He was the last Fire Chief for the Broadway Volunteer Fire Department. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Marian, sister Kathy Timpke, niece Wendy Cawthron, nephew Donny Cawthron, all of Yakima, WA.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 W Yakima Ave beginning at 11:00 a.m. Full Military Honors will follow at a brief service at Tahoma Cemetery, 1802 Tahoma Ave, Yakima. You are then welcome to attend a light reception back at Keith & Keith following the Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Clayton.
