Cora Frances Maginn, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend passed away with her family by her side on September 22, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, kindness and cherished memories.
Cora was born in Fall City, Washington on June 17, 1937, to George and Ella Frampton. On December 21st 1955, she married the love of her life, Joseph Maginn, and were blessed with 4 children: Kathy, Michael, Connie and Christopher. Starting off their early years in Yakima, they eventually moved to Bonney Lake, Washington, where they raised their family. They spent many wonderful years with their dear friends Dick and Shari Kanzig. This lifelong friendship was incredibly special to the entire family as they raised their kids side by side and built many wonderful memories together.
After about ten cherished years in Bonney Lake, Cora and Joe moved to the coast where they lived in Grayland for 6 years, spending much of their time on the beach. They loved the ocean, whether taking walks or just sitting in the truck or car. They loved taking their grandkids to the ocean to explore, play, and hunt for sand dollars. Grayland was a very special place. Their walk with Jesus started there, where they were both baptized along with their son, Christopher. Cora's close and dear friends Jo Mawhorter and Beverly Furnish lived nearby and attended church with them. These years were a big part of their lives and the memories remained with them for the rest of their lives.
After their time in Grayland, Cora and Joe moved to Moxee, Washington where they spent the last 40 years, and built a beautiful life centered around Jesus and the people she loved the most.
Cora was a woman of God, who loved her family deeply and selflessly. She had a remarkable way of putting the needs of others before her own, always ready to give her time, her love or just a helping hand. Her generosity and caring spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Cora was the kind of person who made you feel cared for, supported and loved simply by being there. She gave so much of herself to her family, creating memories and moments that will be treasured forever.
She will be deeply missed. Her love will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all those whose lives she touched. Cora’s faithful companion was her beloved dog, Mary Lou, who was constantly by her side. Their bond was a special reflection of Cora’s gentle and loving nature. She will be remembered not only for the years she lived, but for the love she gave, the lives she cared for, and the kindness she showed to others and of course those tight hugs she gave.
Cora is preceded in death by her Husband Joseph and her Son Michael, her Father and Mother George & Ella, Brothers Robert, Milton and Lonnie. Cora is survived by her daughter Kathy Mullen (Jim), Connie Rothmeyer (Jeff) and son Christopher Maginn (Shannon), brother William, brother Ronald, sister Luella, 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog Mary Lou.
