Darline was born in Yakima, Wa on May 12, 1934 to George and Wilma Locke. She was a graduate of Yakima High School in 1952. She married Richard (Dick) Vaughan in 1954. Darline welcomed her first daughter, Deborah, that same year. Her second daughter Cristi came along 4 years later in 1958.
Darline had many different jobs over the years to include meat wrapper, grocery store clerk, flagger and bartender before she and her husband retired in Packwood, Wa. They went on to travel for many years as snow birds spending winters in the sunshine of California, Arizona and Texas. After her husband's passing Darline returned to Yakima and continued to travel with her daughters and her many friends. Her love of travel took her to many countries to include, Germany, France, Italy, China, Costa Rica, Greece, Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia and many cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska, and Hawaii to name a few.
Darline loved to spend time with her friends playing card games, bingo, board games and crafts.
Darline is survived by her daughters, Deborah Hernandez and Cristi Syverson, her grandson James Sanderson (Gina) and her great-grandson Mason. Her brother in law Gary Vaughan (Carmen).and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Richard (Dick) Vaughan, Her parents, George and Wilma Locke, brothers Merle and Neil and her sister Barbara. Her son in laws, Bradley Hernandez, and Michael Syverson.
Darline will be laid to rest in Packwood cemetery alongside her husband, Dick and her parents, George and Wilma and her sister Barbara.
Her family would like to thank her many caregivers over the last 7 years that took the best care of her and made her comfortable and happy until the very end.
