Debbie was born and raised in Nevada until her parents moved the family to Selah, Washington, in the early 1980s. It was there that she met the love of her life, Gilbert Phillips. The two were married in 1986 and began building a life and family together. In 1988, they welcomed their only daughter, Amanda.
Debbie spent most of her life as a homemaker, dedicating herself to caring for and loving her family. Being a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker was her greatest accomplishment, and she took tremendous pride in the people she loved.
Debbie enjoyed the many camping, fishing, and hunting adventures she shared with family and friends. Some of her happiest moments were spent surrounded by the people she loved. She treasured her lifelong friendship with Shari Dalrymple and the many memories they made together.
Although Debbie had one daughter, when Amanda met Timmy at the age of 14, Debbie gained a son as well. She loved and cherished Timothy as her own, and their bond remained an important part of her life.
Debbie was a loving grandmother to her three grandchildren, Alicia, Zayla, and TJ. She cherished every moment she was able to spend with them and loved watching them grow.
Debbie is survived by her mother, Sharon Heitzman; her husband, Gilbert Phillips; her daughter, Amanda Sperry; her son-in-law, Timothy Sperry; and her three grandchildren, Alicia, Zayla, and TJ Sperry. She is also survived by her brothers, Derik and Darril Heitzman Jr.; brothers-in-law Michael (Nancy) Phillips and Willie Phillips; sister-in-law Amy (Joe) Cardenas; mother-in-law Carol Phillips; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Debbie leaves behind a lifetime of love, memories, and family moments that will be treasured forever. Her kindness, love, and devotion to her family will never be forgotten.
