

Del was born to Lewis Allen Worrell and Freda Maria Worrell on May 9, 1944 in Yakima, WA. After graduating from AC Davis High School, Del attended Yakima Business College.
Del and Glenda Worrell were married in 1967 and remained the love of one another’s lives until his death. They had one daughter, Gina Holloway (Worrell).
Del worked as a dispatcher for Associated Grocers and was also a partner in Off the Record. He had several passions in life including: family, friends, music, and sports. Del coached softball teams for many years and even led several of the teams to state championships. He also was an avid record and CD collector and enjoyed listening to music with his friends. He was loved by many and had an impact on so many lives. If you knew Del, you were his friend.
Although Del encountered numerous obstacles in his life including, having polio, suffering from a debilitating accident, and having MS, Del persevered and maintained a positive attitude as he dealt with those challenges.
Del was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, where he enjoyed attending church with his family.
By far the biggest joy in Del’s life was his granddaughter, Sommer. Those who knew Del can attest to his love for Sommer, as he loved to tell stories and talk about her.
Del is survived by his former wife, Glenda Worrell, his daughter, Gina Holloway and her husband Don Holloway Jr, granddaughter, Sommer Holloway, his sister Shirley Barker, as well as several sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Freda Worrell (Gering) and brother Don Worrell.
A Graveside Service will be at Terrace Heights Memorial Park, 3001 Terrace Heights Dr., Yakima, WA on Friday, January 29th at 9:00 a.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 7809 Tieton Dr., Yakima, WA on Saturday, January 30th at 11:00 a.m. Because Del was such an avid sports fan, you are welcome to wear a shirt from your favorite sports team to the service.
