

She was 79 years old.
Born in Sioux City, Iowa on September 22, 1930 to Gayle and Pearl (Huffman) Meacham.
She moved to the Yakima Valley in 1943 with her family and finished her education.
Delia married and moved to Texas to start her family. Over the years she lived in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and California before settling again in Yakima in 1968.
Delia was a wonderful homemaker and loved anything that brought family together such as camping, fishing, picnics, cards, games and holidays. She was a terrific cook and always made room at the table for unexpected guests.
Delia is survived by her longtime friend and companion Gary, three daughters, Janice Stephens of Dallas, Texas, Margie Hensley of Moses Lake, Washington and Kaye Shattuck of Seattle. Six sons, Don Kirby of South Vietnam, John Kirby of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ben Kirby of Dallas, Texas, Carl Kirby of Yakima, Kevin Kirby of Los Angeles, California and Marvin Kirby of Yakima.
One sister, Donnabelle Lynde of Yakima, and three brothers, Lamar Meacham and Duane Meacham of Yakima, and Ned Meacham of Nevada.
Delia was the proud Grandmother and Great Grandmother of 47 children. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband F.Leon Kirby, two sons, Terry and Bruce, her parents Gayle and Pearl, two brothers Ivan and Truman Meacham and one sister Vera Peterson.
Delia was kind hearted, fun loving and was loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 14 from 4-8pm at Keith & Keith Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Thursday April 15 at 1:00pm at Keith & Keith.
Concluding services and burial will follow at West Hills Memorial Park.
