

Dolores (Dee) Shuel passed away at her home with her daughter by her side Monday April 18th, 2016. Dolores fought a courageous four year battle with COPD and lung cancer, she fought hard and strong but unfortunatly she lost the battle. Dee was born May 5,1942 in Portland Oregon, the youngest of five children to James and Pauline Edwards.
She was brought to Yakima, Washington as an infant and has lived most of her life in yakima besides Tacoma. While living in Tacoma she worked at Nalleys and a doll factory. She had many other jobs working in yakima at Del Monte, Baileys Jean Factory, Lariat Drive In and Training hops in the hop fields.
Dolores's mother rented the building next to Rays Wholesale Meats and Dolores waitressed for her at Granny's kitchen; Thats where she met Ray, the love of her life. Dolores married Ray October of 1965 and they have three children. Ray and Dolores just celebrated 50 years of marriage in October 2015. Dolores went to work with Ray part time at Rays Wholesale Meats and later began working full time when the kids were in grade school. She worked and co-owned Rays Wholesale Meats with Ray for over 30 years until they retired and sold the business to their son Bryan (Tracie).
Dolores is survived by her loving husband Ray Shuel, her three children; Bill Shuel, Bryan (Tracie) Shuel and daughter Kara (Jeff) Ashbaugh all of Yakima. Seven grandchildren Nikki (Chris) Smidt, Hailey and Taylor Shuel of Minnesota, Breanna (Logan) Worsham, Brently Ashbaugh, Carlie and Katie Shuel. She has four great grandchildren; Lennex, Dezmond, Leland and Carson, as well as another great grandson expected in July. She is also survived by one sister; Wilma (Leroy) Morford, Brother and Sister in laws; Yvonne Shuel, Bill Shuel Sr., Jack and Darlene Shuel, Ervin Sperle, Joyce Edwards, Kathy Edwards and many neices and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, two brothers; Alvin and Leland Edwards and her sister Wanda Sperle, Nephews Greg Edwards and Mike Sperle.
Services will be held Saturday April 30th, 2016 at 2:00pm at Wiley Union Church.
