

In 1946, the family moved to the Tacoma, WA area to be near family and work. Moving frequently until they finally landed in Sumner, WA so Don and Donna could do their studies and graduate from Sumner High School, both graduated in 1960.
After graduation, Don stayed at home and worked construction with his Dad, until he joined the Marines in 1962.
On leave in 1965, he came home to visit his parents in Renton, WA and met the girl next door, Jewel Eades.
Don and Jewel were married April 24, 1966 and were inseparable until her passing in 2023.
Don started work at Boeing soon after the wedding and worked there for 35 years, retiring as a quality control director in 2000. He retired several times after that from stints at Muckleshoot Casino, Emerald Downs, USPS, Yakima Public Library and CWU.
A real people person, nobody was a stranger to Don!
Don was preceded in death by his wife Jewel and half sister Donna Fedor. He is survived by his twin sister Donna (Covey) Enumclaw, WA, sons Robert (Tammy) Hobart, WA, Craig (Toni) Vashon, WA, daughter Raven Selah, WA, grandchildren Anthony, Craig and Sky, great grandson Arthur and Half Brother Robert (Maureen) Harwinton, CT.
DEEPLY LOVED AND FOREVER MISSED. Rest well Dad.
A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at Tahoma Cemetery, 1802 W Tahoma Ave, Yakima, WA 98902, US, on July 17, 2026, at 11:00 am.
