Born in Felt, OK on April 14, 1927, her family moved to Central Washington in 1945 where she met and married E. D. (Jack) Inman in 1949. They followed construction work throughout the western United States and finally settled permanently in Yakima in 1956 where they owned a farm and operated a small dairy for several years. In 1996, she married Paul D. Nystrom of Yakima. Following Paul’s death, Dorothy moved to Kennewick, WA to be closer to her children. Dorothy attended the First Southern Baptist Church and was a charter member of the Summitview Baptist Church, both in Yakima. In later years, she attended the Wiley Heights Covenant Church in Wiley City where she was active in the ladies’ quilting guild.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Carol & Steve Horne, Yvonne Inman, H. E. (Ed) & Teresa Inman, and Diane Inman all of the Tri-Cities; 8 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands; 1 grandson, Steven E.
