He served in the Army of World War II in the Philippines. He was an honorable KC member. He was an active Deacon in Rugby for 17 years. He enjoyed playing cards, having coffee with friends and working in his garden. Ed was also a barber for 30 years.
Ed was united in marriage to Bessie Morrill on September 15, 1947 in Esmond, North Dakota. They were blessed with six children, James (Jakie Thelen) Fern (Arnold Hahn), Claude, Rose, Patsy and Harold (Linda Larsen). He has two brothers and one sister; Peter, Richard and Evelyn.
He was preceded in death by one son, eight brothers, his parents and one step-brother, Walt Muffenbier.
Ed and Bessie were blessed with fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2015 at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home, 1010 W. Yakima Avenue, Yakima. Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
