

Eleanor Stepper was born June 22, 1925, in Ashley, North Dakota. She died peacefully at age 90.
She was the oldest of eight children of John and Rosalind Stepper. She graduated from Ashley High School in 1943 before her family moved to Yakima, Washington.
In Yakima, she was a bookkeeper, including working for many years at Ben Franklin Department Store.
When her mother died she raised her younger siblings. She never married.
Eleanor was very active in her church, Bethlehem Lutheran in Yakima, including serving as bookkeeper for the church for many years and as a member of the church council.

She is survived by three sisters: Luetta Fulton of Turlock, CA; Barbara Mitchell of Eugene, OR; and Iris Venable of Corbett, OR. One of her nieces is Annie Garcia of Yakima. She is preceded in death by three brothers Lloyd, Colin and William Stepper, and sister Joyce Dressler.
Visitation will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Thursday, 801 Tieton Drive, Yakima, September 3, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a reception.
Burial is Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima.
