

Elmer Hubbard Jr. went to be with the Lord April 5, 2012 in his home with his family by his side. He was born on April 12, 1929 to Elmer Hubbard Sr. and Flossie Inskeep in Pueblo, Colorado. Elmer joined the Navy in 1945 serving his country for 4 years before moving to Goldendale to take a job with McGuire Lumber. Later, he moved to Yakima taking a job with the YMCA as a janitor before starting his own business, providing janitorial services for a number of Yakima Valley businesses for many years.
On August 29, 1969 Elmer and Donna were married in Seattle and settled in Yakima for the remainder of their marriage. In addition to his wife and family, Elmer had two great loves: church and his pets. He was a member of Note of Joy Church and loved spending time with his wife, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Elmer is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Steven (Maggie) Hubbard of Laurel, MD; stepchildren, Tom (Dottie) Gonzalez of Yakima, WA, Donald (Cathy) Gonzalez of Yakima, WA, Ben (Kristy) Gonzalez III of Port Orchard, WA, Christine (Roy) Kennett of Auburn, WA, Sherry Williams of Yakima, WA; 20 grandchildren, 14 greatgranchildren, plus a great grandchild and a great great grandchild in the basket. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Scott; brothers, Lyman Hubbard and Melvin Hubbard; sisters, Ginny Donaker, Eunice Davis and Judy Burkel.
There will be a Memorial Service Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Note of Joy Church, 305 East R Street Yakima, WA 98901. The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Memorial Hospice or North Star in Elmer's Name.
