His early years were spent as a farmer on the family farm in Lake Norden, SD. He served his country by enlisting in the Army during World War II. Upon returning from Australia he was employed by Swift & Company to later be transferred to H & H Packing in Union Gap, retiring after 32 years.
Ernest married the love of his life and sweetheart Elgie Iverson in 1946. They had many adventures and travels in their 60+ years together. Daughter Dixie (Robert) Kracht was first to be born, followed by sons Michael (Valerie) Antijunti and Myron Antijunti.
He is preceded in death by his wife Elgie, his brothers Marvin, Richard, Raymond and Howard, and a sister Delores as well as many friends.
He is survived by a sister, Bernita (Don) Dobbs of Orlando, Florida; his daughter Dixie Kracht of Union Gap; his sons, Michael (Valerie) Antijunti of Selah & Myron Antijunti of Yakima; and a special niece, Jean Vickers of Moxee. He is also survived by very special grandchildren, Cheryl (Brian) Miller, Scott Kracht, Patricia (Jeremy) Ramirez, Jason (Amanda) Antijunti, Torin Antijunti and Sven Antijunti; great grandchildren, Chanteena Kracht, Kendra Miller, Amanda Kracht, Ethan Ramirez, Raeann Ramirez, Jayden Antijunti, Austin Antijunti and special nieces and nephews, Christy, Summer & William Aubrey as well as Dominic & Kayden Vickers.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home with interment to follow at West Hills Memorial Park.
