Floyd was born on June 21, 1934 in Schulter, Oklahoma to Fred E. and Thelma (McGahey) Dillon. Floyd was raised in Schulter and later moved to Modesto, California. Floyd served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. He also became a private pilot in 1973. Floyd was an orchardist in Zillah along with his wife, Jo Ann for 36 years. In 1998, Floyd and Jo Ann retired and moved to their home in Yakima. Floyd and Jo Ann traveled extensively and enjoyed numerous cruises.
Floyd is survived by three sisters, Frances Limburg and Judy Kirgbaum of Modesto, CA, and Barbara Clark of Sacramento, CA; two brothers, Stanley Dillon of Hughson, CA and David Dillon of Lakeview, OR; daughter Beverly J. (Dillon) Mmaitsi of Gainsville, TX; son, Michael Dillon of Florida and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Floyd is also survived by his devoted friend and caregiver Michelle Walker Jones of Yakima, and loyal friends Dick & Carol Born of Zillah.
Floyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Beverley “Jo Ann” Walker Dillon; his parents; son, Leland John Dillon; and sisters Ella Dillon McCord and Shirley Dillon Blevins.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 25 at Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Keith & Keith Terrace Heights Chapel. Burial will follow at the Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Donations in memory of Floyd and Jo Ann may be sent to Yakima Area Arboretum, 1401 Arboretum Drive, Yakima, WA 98901 for beautification of the Japanese Garden where Floyd established a memorial in memory of Jo Ann. Donations for the Arboretum may also be sent through Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 W. Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902.
