Frances Evelyn Harris

Fran was born on May 29, 1933 in Galena, Kansas to Ray and Carrie Lea. She graduated from Prosser High School in 1951. Fran met the love of her life Del Harris in 1951, and they were married on October 31, 1953 in Yakima, WA and would have celebrated 61 years together this month.

Fran worked many years in the family business (Del Harris Motors) as the bookkeeper.

Family meant everything to Fran. On December 1, 1954 their daughter Diana was born and they welcomed their son Mike on January 14, 1963. There were many days spent with family camping, fishing, and one of her biggest passions was fishing for “Walter” at Crow Creek, a favorite family spot.

Fran, was loved by all who knew her. She was a gentle woman full of class and grace and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband Del, her daughter, Diana (Mike) Deatherage, her son, Mike (Trina) Harris; 5 grandsons, Chris (Jill) Deatherage, Dan (Karie) Deatherage, Jason (Darlene) Harris, Jake Harris, Brandon (Karissa) Kelley, one granddaughter Amanda Kelley, and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Winnie (Steve) Evert, brothers Bill (Shylla) Lea and Lewis Lea.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Ray and Carrie Lea and her sister Martha Ward.

Viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Fran’s life will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 4th at Keith and Keith Funeral home followed by internment at West Hills Memorial Park.
