

Frank W. Warren, 82 of Yakima died peacefully Monday October, 15 at Cottage in the Meadow surrounded by his family.
Frank was born May 19, 1930 in Long Beach CA, to Frank C. and Edith (Palmer) Warren. He grew up in Tieton WA, attending Tieton and Highland Schools. In 1950 he joined the Air Force serving in several states and France. He was honorably discharged on September 20, 1954.
In 1955 he married Mary (Louise) Madlener and they raised two children, Shari Barger (Robert) and John A. Warren (Cathy).
Frank was employed by Associated Grocers for 30 years, working in several capacities, until the closure of the Yakima operation.
Frank had many talents and could fix anything by putting a small screw in it. One of his greatest joys was spending most weekends at their vacation home at Desert Aire. He enjoyed boating, waterskiing, motorcycle riding and visiting with friends. He loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit many places including trips to Austria to visit Louise's relatives.
In 1993 he was granted his Amateur Radio License and over the years had enjoyed many hours of contacts allover the world, making many endearing friend. He was always looking forward to his nightly "Check-ins" with his special radio friends.
Frank was a member of the Teamsters Union, Yakima Amateur Radio Club, Sage Brush Hoppers RV Club, and a life time member of the VFW #379.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Louise Warren, daughter Shari (Robert) Barger, their children; Ryan Fauver (Lisa), and their children, Kyliann, Presley, Adam; Eric Barger, and his children Chance and Lily. Son John (Cathy) Warren, their children Jack Warren, and Max Warren. Sister Linda Swan (Don) of Brownstown and brother in law, Donald Gotterbarm of Federal Way, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his pals, 3 black cats, Sophie, Herman, and Mazie.
Frank was predeceased by his parents and Sister Helen Gotterbarm.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to YVMH's Hospice program or Cottage in the Meadow.
Visitation and viewing will be held at the Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, 1405 S. 24th Ave. Yakima on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
