On behalf of 21st Avenue Water Users Association and as former President, Secretary and as neighbors of approximately 10+ years, we, Mark and Cheryl Brzoska, would like to extend our condolences to the Albers family.

As an employee of 21st Water Users Association for over 15 years, Fred took his job duties seriously. We found him to be exemplary and diligent in his duties; a very valuable employee in the care and maintenance of the weir box. Although 21st Avenue Water Users has consolidated under Naches Cowiche Canal Company, it is of my personal belief that no one has been able to take his place. We miss that.

As former neighbors, Mark and I would observe him walking to and from work with his lunchbox in hand. Often, he would stop and chat with us. And on occasions while over at his parents' home, he certainly was diligent in making sure your coffee cup was filled. His eyes shone with enthusiasm when day trips were taken to go huckleberry picking with us and his parents. It truly was one of his highlights.

Fred was an exceptional person. He was a kind and a gentle person that displayed a great sense of humor. In essence, he was a true gentleman.

We miss you. May you rest in peace along with Hershey and your kitty cat.
