Frieda Josephine Kerr

Frieda J. Muoth-Kerr was born January the 2nd 1935 in Yakima WA. to Joseph and Frieda Muoth. She was the fifth child of their six children that included Leo Muoth of Wapato Wa.,Rose Muoth-Anderson of Seattle, Patrica Muoth of Seattle, Lilian Muoth-Bailey of Yakima,and Joseph Muoth of Yakima. She passed quietly on May the 5th 2023.

Beloved wife, mother and grand mother. She is survived by her sons Greg M. Kerr of Seattle, John W. Kerr of Everett WA. and Joseph M. Kerr of Yakima. And her grandson's Jacob Kerr of Yakima, Jaush G. Kerr of Yakima and Jon M. Kerr also of Yakima. She was married on July 26th 1956 to Cpl John G Kerr USMC who eventually became Captain John G. Kerr USAF they were married 65 years.

Being a Military wife of an Air Force Pilot is never easy, being it living in enlisted military housing in Oceanside Ca. To Officers housing on Wlliams AFB Az. Sewerd, AFB Tn. Lockburn, AFB Oh. Cichaku Okinawa, Japan, Naha AFB, Okinawa, Japan. Vandenburg AFB Ca. Scott AFB. Ill. Richards Gebaur AFB Mo. Nine moves in eight years.

Then retirement and back to the house in Yakima. August the 18th 1972. Traveling across country and not for the first time with a husband, three boys, two horses and a dog. A Ford pickup truck carrying a camper and a Plymouth pulling a horse trailer, a 1740 mile trip, when they did these journey's, Frieda would always pack enough food for the entire trip, to this day the boys have no problem eating cold chicken.

Frieda was always devout in her adherence to her Catholic Faith, she sang in the choir at Holy Family for years and was quite active there. She and her husband made many pilgrimages Lourdes, Medugorje, Guadalupe and Israel Rome just to name a few, she was tireless in her devotion her faith.

A visitation for Frieda will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 W Yakima Ave, Yakima, Washington 98902 with a Vigil service beginning at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5315 Tieton Drive, Yakima, Washington 98908.
