Frieda was born on April 30, 1929, in Leola, South Dakota to August and Bertha Heupel.
When Frieda was a teenager, she moved with her sisters to Yakima, where she met her husband Joe. They married May 17, 1947, and raised four children. Joe passed away in 2012 after 65 years of marriage.
Frieda was a homemaker. She and her husband owned and operated a motel and several orchards over the years. Frieda and Joe had a second home in Packwood that they enjoyed spending time at in the summer. They both enjoyed camping and fishing and visits with their family. Frieda also liked crocheting and getting family together for dinners.
Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe, six sisters, two brothers, and son-in-law Ron Floren.
She is survived by her children Ronald (Barbara) Trenkenschuh, Joan (Dick) Bourgeois, Sandra Floren, and Rick (Drucilla) Trenkenschuh. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Langevin Mussetter Funeral Home, Yakima. A viewing with the Rosary will be held at Langevin Mussetter on August 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held August 26 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery.
