The Lord gave Gabe to us on July 13, 1998, and needed him back on August 10, 2022.
He was born and raised in Yakima, Washington; but loved to travel.
Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.
Gabe had so many positive and interesting attributes and characteristics. A few would be that he liked to tinker with electronics. He also liked to study paleontology and rare animals and insects, gems and minerals too. He had a flair for the unique, he was practical, generous and a fun person. He enjoyed his friends and time with them. He had a place for the gamer in himself, he loved to be outside, longboarding, the beach or camping. “Where the whole of nature is” a quote from age 6 – arms flung wide open. He loved to get in the kitchen and create new combos of spices and stews, God bless the kitchen cleanup. He recently talked about visiting the Smithsonian, “All of it.” Go if you get the chance. We were amazed at the forgiveness and generosity that Gabe had for those who trespassed against him.
He recently talked about how far all of us could be if there was no war and if we tried to get along. Gabe loved art and all kinds of music. Gabe had a great sense of humor. What do you call a Knight that is entirely made of fine china? Sir Ramic.
One can never tell all of a person’s life but a glimpse can be shared.
Gabe is survived by his mother Marilyn Kelly. His brothers Anthony Kelly, Wayne Kelly, Jr and Clyde Kelly (Berna). His sisters Sherry Karle (Mike), Aronda Kelly and Dawn Hepp (Darryl), many nieces and nephews and other family members. He is also survived by his best buddies Albert, Raven and Hayes and his furry babies Azura and Shia.
There is no word for goodbye in Cherokee so we say “Till we meet again”, Donadagohvi. (Do-na-da-go-hv-i)
