

George R. Stellwagen, 88, of Yakima, died Saturday,August 28, 2010 at Willow Springs Convalescent Home. He was born December 18, 1921 in Oreana, IL to Lewis and Esther(Meyers)Stellwagen. He has been a resident of Yakima for the past 22 years. George has served God as a transportation director, auto/ bus mechanic and maintenance man for many Christian Schools in Phoenix, AZ and Seattle. George retired at the age of 80 after working in maintenance for an apartment complex in Yakima.
He shared Jesus with all those around him. He was a Blessing to friends and family with his cheerfulness, kindness, and many stories. He also loved to sing the old hymns and gospel songs, sharing with the Union Gospel Mission many times.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; half brother, Keith Rodgers; half sister, Helen Morrison; children from a previous marriage, sons, David Stellwagen, Dennis Stellwagen, Don Stellwagen, Dan Stellwagen; daughters, Dee Ann Allee, Dara Casey, Dayle Cline, and Dori Stellwagen. Children with his wife Joyce, sons, Rob Stellwagen, Jonathan Stellwagen, Patrick Stellwagen; step children ,David Allen, Vicki Hernandez, Nancy Allen and Ruth Vogel. George is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at, 2:00 p.m., Saturday September 25, 2010 at West Side Church, 6901 Summitview Ave. Yakima, WA
