Geraldine Beryle (Gerry) Schut

Geraldine Schut (Gerry) passed away on April 12, 2016 at the age of 88. She was surrounded by family and loved ones. Geraldine was born in Riverton, WA at home on December 30,1927 to Arthur and Lillian Springer. She received her education at ND, attending Showalter grade school and high school at Foster High in Foster, WA.

Gerry moved to Yakima in 1945 and went to work for Brown Drug Store then she worked at Pacific Bell Telephone for 5 years in Yakima, California, and Toppenish. In July of 1949 she married John Schut in Yakima. They made their home in Toppenish, Wapato, Yakima, Moxee, and other places. They had six children. They celebrated 46 years on July 9, 1995 just two days before John passed away. She was a life-long member of the Moose Lodge.

Gerry is preceded in death by her husband John Schut, both parents and older brother Stanley King. Gerry is survived by her six children John and wife Cheryl of Kent, WA, David of Moxee, Ralph and wife Lisa of Auburn, WA, Estelle (Skeet) and husband Duane White of St. Johns, AZ, Geraldine of Battle Ground, WA and Edith Asuncion of Yakima. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.

Concluding services and burial will follow at the Holland Cemetery.
