Gladys Lenora Junt passed peacefully on Friday, May 17th, 2013 surrounded by family. Born in New England, North Dakota, November 13, 1932, she moved to the Yakima Valley at age 13. Gladys was a very hard worker, having been raised on a farm. From those humble early years she learned the value and virtues of hard work and love of family. She would help out in whatever way she could when she and her late husband Pete built their homes with their own hands. She often took seasonal work at canneries in the valley to help out with finances. Gladys was extremely proud of earning her real estate license and practicing as a real estate agent. She loved polka music and a family gathering always found her grabbing Pete's hand to pull him up for a dance. More than anything else, Gladys excelled at being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Gladys was a member of Holy Redeemer Church and a Catholic Daughter.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Pete of 59 years, parents John and Catherine Wolf; brothers, Frank, Paul, Tim, William, Johnny, Alley, and Ervian; sisters , Francis, Kay, Betty, and Maggie.
Gladys is survived by her four children, Deborah (Gerald) Baldoz, Daniel (Denise) Junt, Deanna (Chris) Daniels of Yakima and Donald (Thea) Junt of Dallas, TX; five Grandchildren, Jessica, Geoff, Corinne, Andrea and Brendon and five Great Grandchildren, Ashlynn, Mackenzie, Audrey, Lincoln and Trevor. She is also survived by a sister Delores (Lee) Castleberry of South Carolina.
