Hazel Marie Hughes

Hazel Marie Hughes passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the age of 88. She was born April 8, 1935 to Felix and Rose Mae Harris in a little cabin on Naches Heights in Yakima County.

Hazel worked 40 years as a fruit packer in various warehouses located in Yakima, Cowiche and Tieton.

One of her most favorite things in life was her yard and flower garden. Her yard was always beautiful and people would stop by to admire the results of her work. She won a few awards for her beautiful yard in Yakima.

Hazel was always there to help family and friends. She found herself as a loving caregiver for family and friends throughout the years.

Hazel is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Sue Hughes, granddaughter, Shaena Peebles(Owen) and a great grandson, Mikhail Peebles.

Hazel was preceded in death by her son, David Hughes and parents Felix Harris, Rose Harris. Also her sisters, Virginia Yeigh, Beatrice Scott and Mary Tredenbarger. Brothers, Fairlan Harris, Marion(Shorty) Harris and Marvin (Rusty) Harris.

No service will be held at her request. A memorial get together will be held at a later date.
