

She was born on September 10, 1928 in Bellingham WA to Richard and Erma (Dierks) Gladson. She married Dean Volskey on Sept. 10, 1947 in Blaine, WA and moved to Yakima in 1962. Dean passed away Nov. 11, 2003. Helen worked in banking, retiring from First Interstate Bank. She loved to do lunch with the ladies. Helen was a member of the Wenas Ladies Club, a new member of the Red Hat Society and was very involved with the Central Washington Ag Museum. She loved to travel and was able to visit every state and thought that the United States was the most beautiful country.
Survivors include her two daughters, Deanna Husch of Wapato and Lorie (Bill) Harrison of Yakima; grandchildren, Lisa Husch, Allen (Kimberly) Husch, Brad (Heather) Harrison, and Brian (Tia) Harrison; great-grandchildren, Jazmin Salazar, Jade Salazar, Max Allen, A.J. Husch, Jonas Husch, Seth Harrison, Elly Harrison, Bryce Harrison and Hayden Harrison.
Graveside inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at West Hills Memorial Park. A reception will be held after at the Central Washington Ag Museum. Those not wishing to go to the cemetery may meet at the museum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central WA Ag Museum or the YWCA Women’s Shelter c/o Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home 1010 W Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902.
