Henry served in the US Navy during WWII, Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired after serving 30 years. After retiring from the Navy, we went to work as Head Custodian for the Yakima School District for 16 yrs. Henry then volunteered in the classroom where his wife, Vivian, worked at the Selah School District. After Vivian retired, Henry then volunteered to help in his sons, Kevin, classroom. Henry really enjoyed helping the kids learn to read and even dressed as Santa Claus at Roosevelt Elementary.
Henry was survived by his wife, Vivian Russell, of Selah; son, Kevin (Kristine) Russell of Selah; a daughter, Pamela Russell (fiancé, Patrick) and one granddaughter, Sarah Russell. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Russell.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4th at Keith and Keith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5th at Keith and Keith Funeral Home with burial following at Tahoma Cemetery.
