

James D. Finley, 89, of Selah passed away on August 21, 2023 at his youngest daughter Donna’s home in Spokane Valley, Wa. Where he spent the last 11 months of his life. He was born on October 26, 1933 in Ellensburg, Wa To Duke and Gladys Finley.
After high school Jim served his country in the U.S. Navy. After his services he married Mary Janice DeBord on June 9, 1956. Mary preceded him in death in April of 2015. He was a widowed father of three. Debie and Paul Lee of St. Paris, Ohio, Dan and Gege Finley of Yakima and Donna and Chris George of Spokane Valley, Wa. Jim had 17 grandkids and 17 great-grandkids. Most of his career he was known as a brick Mason, he also owned Anderson’s Camera and Gun Shop for a short time and finished his working career working for the Yakima School District. He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, motorcycling, camping, he once played in a trumpet quartet and he loved building custom muzzleloader rifles.
He has peacefully joined his beautiful wife and parents in Heaven.
Final visitation will be held at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home on Thursday August 31, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday September 1, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 1107 Fremont Ave, Selah at 10:00 Burial will follow at Terrace heights Memorial Park with full military honors.
