to William and Elsie Gonderman on August 29, 1911 in Lamont, Washington. He was
101 years young.
"Jim" had many passions in life and always wanted to know "What are we going to do
today?" He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and the love of flying stayed with
him throughout his life. He had a dear spot in his heart for the Union Gospel Mission and
served as the secretary for the board of directors for many years. He saved all of the
minutes from the meetings and wrote a book "Hope for the Hopeless" which was
published in 2006. He was also a member of Ahtanum Pioneer Church and Christian
Businessmen's Committee. He had many different jobs during his lifetime the last one
being the Regional Manager for Premera Blue Cross in Yakima.
His love of the Lord was his greatest passion and second to that was his love of family.
We had the privilege to share a celebration of his life on his 100th birthday in August of
2011. It was a day his family will not forget.
