

Mike was raised and attended schools in Yakima. Beginning in 1967 he proudly served our country as a member of the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division in the capacity of a Paratrooper (one of the youngest) during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged in 1970 Mike worked for 15 years as a foreman at the Hanford Nuclear Plant.
Mike loved to travel with his love and best friend Tammy Robert. He was a very kind person who enjoyed people and people enjoyed him.
He is survived by his daughter Adrian (James) Bell; granddaughter Taylor Bell; also daughters Kim Savage, Desiree Sparling and Lena Stolworthy; son Kerry Glover; sisters Pattie Conklin and Cathy (Glen) Thompson; brothers Richard Vickers, Ted Vickers and Gerald (Linda) Vickers; numerous nieces and nephews including David Vickers, Valeria Vickers and Heidi Galleier.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Ralph E. Vickers & Shirley E. (Runyan) Vickers Emmons, Jim Emmons and Susan (Vickers) England.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 14th at Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
