

James (Jim) Walter Van Nostern passed away February 9, 2013 in Yakima, WA.
James was born October 31, 1929 in Yakima, WA to James and Julia Van Nostern.
He attended Yakima High school and later went on to receive his AA in Business from Yakima College.
He married his loving wife Elizabeth Felker at the First Christian Church on June 17, 1950, and together they had three children.
Jim enjoyed skiing and belonged to the White Pass Ski Patrol for over 40 years. He served as Patrol President and received many awards for search and rescue, including the Blue Star. He was an OEC instructor and belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles. James also enjoyed motorcycling and hunting.
He is survived by his beloved wife Betty, whom he dedicated his life to, as well as three children James, Jeana and Ben, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 2pm at West Hills Memorial Park, 11800 Douglas Rd.
